LENNOX LEWIS has played down fears over the safety of his former opponent Mike Tyson in the November showdown with Jake Paul.

Iron Mike, who turned 58 in June, was forced to withdraw from their initial date after he suffered a medical emergency on an internal flight four months ago.

However he insists he is now back to full health after what was confirmed as a stomach ulcer issue and Tyson will now face Youtuber Paul at the AT&T Stadium, Texas on November 15.

Paul is 21 years younger than his opponent and, although still a novice compared to the former world heavyweight champion, he has ended seven of his fights via knockout and there are concerns about Tyson facing him.

But Lewis, who stopped Tyson in the eighth round of their famous 2002 fight, is adamant it is Paul who is in the most danger.

“What are they concerned about?” Lewis said.

“Mike Tyson knows how to defend himself and he’s boxing against a guy who is not as good as he is. Mike Tyson knows how to throw a good punch and break you down. I’m more concerned about the other guy.”

Lewis has been out of the ring since his stoppage victory over Vitali Klitschko in June 2003 but, when asked whether he would even consider a comeback like Tyson’s he said: “Depends on what the price is.”
