Why Manifesting Doesn’t Work For You

I know why your manifesting isn’t working.

Have you been trying to manifest things? Perhaps you’re trying to manifest riches and wealth, or maybe you’re trying to manifest the most perfect relationship or the most beautiful home, and it simply isn’t working. Well, there is a reason why manifestation fails, and there is a solution. I’m going to explain it to you so that you know how to manifest properly.

What Is Manifesting?

Manifesting is the concept that our thoughts and beliefs influence our reality. If you look through self-help books and New Age spiritual groups, you’ll find this idea everywhere: if we just think positively, we’ll manifest our dreams. Indeed, this concept has ran a bit wild recently thanks to social media. You’ll see posts like, “Like this post and you’ll manifest your dreams,” or “Like this video and you’ll manifest your dreams.” So, what is wrong with this concept and how do we fix it?

Why Manifesting Doesn’t Work

To explain, let’s consider an example. Suppose I want to manifest the most perfect home—a mansion. I can see it in my mind: a huge mansion with a pool, maybe a private chef, and a jet like Taylor Swift’s. I’m visualizing this so that I can manifest it into reality. Then, my mind says, “Wait a minute, there’s a huge issue with this. I don’t know how to make a lot of money, there aren’t many opportunities to make money, or I don’t have a high-paying job or the qualifications for it.”

Your mind comes up with something negative, which is fine—I’ll explain this shortly. What is not fine is that you then say, “Shut up, mind. I don’t want to think about the negative; I just want the mansion and the private jet like Taylor Swift. Just shut up and make that happen!” The issue is that by shutting down what we consider to be negative thoughts, we are causing a problem.

Why is that a problem? It might sound abstract at first, but consider your mind to be like an electrical circuit. In an electrical circuit, electricity flows through points, and the electricity must be able to flow through all those points. There can’t be a stoppage at any point in the circuit; otherwise, it will shut down completely. This is what happens in your mind when you try to shut out negative thoughts during manifestation.

Let’s recap: when we’re manifesting, we usually focus on the positive—we think about having that mansion. Then the mind says something negative, such as not having a high-paying job or qualifications. We respond by telling the mind to shut up, which is like breaking an electrical circuit and will close down your efforts to manifest anything.

How To Make Manifesting Work

There is a very simple solution to this, and it fixes the entire issue with manifesting: you have to accept and acknowledge all those thoughts that you think are negative. For example, if I’m meditating and visualizing my perfect house with my Taylor Swift-style private jet, and my mind says, “You don’t have enough money or qualifications,” instead of saying, “Shut up, mind,” acknowledge it by saying, “That is true, mind. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Here is my solution to it.”

In other words, when you’re manifesting and your mind thinks something negative, acknowledge it and come up with solutions. This allows the electricity to flow through the circuit unobstructed. Whether your mind comes up with positive or negative thoughts, the mental process will continue. You have to allow the mental process to continue regardless. Acknowledging both positive and negative thoughts and working with them is how you manifest effectively.

To manifest properly:

1. Begin by clearing your mind, like preparing a pure white canvas.
2. Visualize what you want to manifest, such as your beautiful mansion with a private chef.
3. If your mind presents a positive thought, follow it. If it presents a negative thought, acknowledge it and find solutions.

This way, you allow the mental process to flow without obstruction, and you will manifest successfully.
