Disguise secured the rights to design, produce, market, and distribute costumes and accessories inspired by the latest Transformers film. Transformers One is the star-studded, never-before-seen origin story of Optimus Prime (Chris Hemsworth) and Megatron (Brian Tyree Henry). The question is explored as to how these iconic, robotic arch-enemies began as brothers in arms despite being destined to become sworn enemies.

While the battle between Autobots and Decepticons began in 1984, quickly followed by the birth of Disguise in 1987, the pair have combined forces many times over, to the point that the Transformers franchise has been a large part of the costume company’s success. Per the agreement with the film’s creator Paramount Animation and IP-holder Hasbro, Disguise Costumes will retail their upcoming licensed products in North America, LATAM and in some channels in EMEA. The brand titan has already unveiled a new collection featuring designs of fan-favorites Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, plus new faces from the Transformers universe.

Disguise has been deeply involved with the Transformers brand for decades, creating designs for every major film and surrounding content. We are excited to have costumes this year to support the origin story behind Optimus Prime and Bumblebee … we anticipate significant retail success as well.”

— Tara Cortner, President and General Manager of Disguise.

The full range of Transformers One costumes is now available at major retailers, just in time for Halloween.
