If one thing in the digital world is certain, your online presence means everything. Whether it’s a tech company looking to appear fast-paced and advanced or a local bakery hoping to come off as sweet and family-friendly, your digital persona can either make or break that image. And no one understands this better than Adriana Sandoval, Brafton’s Manager of SEO Link Building.

While online presence may not be the first thing you think of when considering link building, Adriana and the link-building team make every effort to drive partnerships and enhance how clients are viewed by their audiences

So, how did Adriana discover the wide world of link building, and what does this look like daily? Read on to find out.

Optimizing Experiences: How Adriana Got Her Start

Adriana started her marketing journey by graduating with a marketing major and finance minor from Tec de Monterrey, one of the top universities in Latin America. Her education gave her a strong foundation in marketing principles and strategies, which she said has been important in shaping her career and expertise.

Before Brafton, she worked at a consulting firm where she was involved in developing inbound strategies and recommending various SEO tactics. After the firm created a dedicated SEO department and offered Adriana a managerial role, she decided she wanted to deepen her SEO knowledge.

This prompted her to seek opportunities in companies that already had experience with SEO, which is how she stumbled upon Brafton. “I was eager to learn from its experience and gain insights into its long-standing expertise in the field,” she said.

She started at Brafton in 2022 as a link builder within the internal marketing team. This role gave her the deep understanding of link-building and securing valuable backlinks that she was looking for.

“I had the opportunity to collaborate with an exceptional team of marketers dedicated to enhancing Brafton’s digital presence,” she said. “Meeting the team in person and discussing plans for the upcoming year was the highlight of that period.”

After a year on the marketing team, she transitioned to the SEO team under Philip Weafer. “This move significantly expanded my SEO knowledge, exposed me to a diverse range of clients and allowed me to develop SEO projects across various niches,” she added.

No stranger to taking on new roles and advancing her skills, Adriana is now the Manager of SEO Link Building, adding team leading to her resume, among other tasks.

A Day in the Life

On the daily, Adriana develops comprehensive link-building strategies to boost the target page traffic for clients. This involves crafting and executing campaigns, maintaining persistence with cold outreach and building valuable partnerships with industry-relevant sites. She also helps secure high-quality backlinks and fosters collaboration with partners to enhance clients’ online presence.

“It requires meticulous attention to responses and a proactive approach to ensure we secure as many links and partnerships as possible,” she said.

While she juggles several detail-oriented and relational tasks at a time, she does so with grace, working alongside colleagues to deliver great results.

And speaking of colleagues, Adriana shared that they make her experience at Brafton exceptional.

“I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with people from all over the world, and the diversity within the team continues to impress me,” she said. “Everyone is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, which makes working together such a pleasure.”

And since she consistently partners with teammates and clients across time zones and oceans, she gave props to the Brafton Platform, the technology that keeps everyone organized.

“I’m truly amazed by the effective structure and processes in place that enable us to execute various projects seamlessly with both our team and clients globally, and consistently deliver high-quality results on time,” she said.

This digital approach helps her measure and manage her workload effectively, contributing to a healthy work-life balance. As a result, she said she stays motivated and energized, no matter what tasks she has on her to-do list, driving her professional growth and enthusiasm for her role.

Taking on the 5 to 9

While a majority of Adriana’s day is spen t explaining the importance of link building to new and existing clients, she maximizes her time before and after work with things that bring her joy: namely, running. She’s a proud member of the 5 a.m. club, starting her day at 5:45 where she runs between 5k and 8k four times a week. And if that wasn’t enough, she also hits the gym twice during the week.

“It might sound intense, but I find that this routine is essential for maintaining my health and motivation — especially with the sedentary nature of remote work,” she said.

While getting up and running before work is impressive, she just set a new personal record for the 5k with a time of 22:55 minutes. “If you’re faster, let’s compete!” she added jokingly, which I surely am not.

When it comes to Adriana, there’s no slowing down. Outside of running, she loves meal prepping, cooking everything — from pasta, sauces and yogurt — from scratch. You can also find her spending quality time with her husband, having weekly dates and visiting new restaurants, or cuddling with her adorable dog, Rojo.

Whether she’s running at lighting speed, whipping up new recipes or securing high-quality backlinks, we at Brafton know we wouldn’t be the same without Adriana on our side. Her journey highlights how dedication and passion can help make exceptional leaps in SEO and collaboration.
