Wired Or Wireless LDAC, Edifier’s QR65 Speakers Are A Sound Choice
There are those that feel 40 year old floor speakers are passe, but if you get rid of them what are you going to put your stuff on? If that isn’t a problem for you, or you want to update your PC speaker system then consider the QR65 two channel speakers from Edifier. They each house one USB-A and two USB-C TurboGaN charging ports for your devices, even though you can’t fit more than one on top of the speakers. You will also find LEDs with 11 preset patterns, or you can use the Edifier ConneX app to program your own light show. There are even small stands to place your speakers on to give them a 10 degree lift.
They also apparently make noise! The pair of speakers each feature 1.25″ silk diaphragm tweeter and an 2.5″ aluminium alloy diaphragm woofer. The speakers are capable of managing up to 24bit/96kHz, with a frequency response range spanning 55Hz to 40KHz with a ≥85dBA signal to noise ratio. The Bluetooth connectivity supports LDAC, and you can also chose the RCA jacks and the main speaker has a sub out. This is handy as NikKTech’s only complaint about these speakers was the poor bass, everything else about the audio quality was outstanding.
The active QR65 measures 141.5 x 213 x 216.8mm, the passive is a slightly smaller 130 x 213 x 212mm but apparently they sound much larger. The full review is here.
