The Jingle Hells LTM brought some festive cheer to BO6 Zombies through a Christmas-themed makeover for Liberty Falls, but the mode has failed to impress players.

As the name suggests, the LTM lets players explore a festive version of Liberty Falls. This mostly amounts to visual changes like wreaths hanging off doors, twinkling lights illuminating the roads, Snowmen scattered throughout the map, and of course, a bunch of Christmas trees everywhere.

In terms of gameplay additions, the mode features a new Power Up named ‘Naughty or Nice’ and a new ‘Holiday Cheer’ GobbleGum. Killing zombies can now drop presents with pieces of gear and equipment, the rarity of which depends on your luck. The difficulty has also been spiked up thanks to the removal of the Crafting Table and the Arsenal machine.

That’s almost all the new content summed up, and evidently, visual changes vastly outweigh new gameplay features. This seems to be a common complaint among players who took to Reddit to voice their displeasure with the LTM.

A popular post by user ‘DukeOfTheDodos’ stated, “Just did a round of the new mode and good lord does it suck a**. The aesthetics of Jingle Hells slap, don’t get me wrong, but the gameplay is absolutely atrocious and I don’t plan on playing anymore unless there’s a legitimate incentive to do it instead of just loading up a normal Liberty Balls match.”

Other users chimed in with similar opinions in the comments section, “They also reused the round change music from Cold War Jingle Hells. I was very disappointed when I played it, there isn’t much different about it besides being a harder Liberty Falls.”

A number of players were also disappointed with the lack of new rewards despite the added difficulty, “In my opinion the new mode just sucks. I mean there are literally zero rewards for completing anything under extremely difficult circumstances. No calling cards or extra XP.

“I love the map design but it’s just exhausting to get wrecked for getting unlucky with Power Ups or staying outside when trying to fight an HVT for the EE. I’m not a noob but there’s absolutely no joy for me in playing this.”

Considering that the mode is essentially a re-skinned Liberty Falls, some new rewards would’ve given players more of a reason to play the LTM. While the map decorations are a great touch, it does look like Jingle Hells has failed to strike a chord with Zombies players.
