US: Independent lifestyle brand Arlo Hotels has opened its first property in Washington DC.
Arlo Washington DC marks the brand’s seventh opening and its first in the nation’s capital.
The 445-room, LEED-certified hotel is located on Judiciary Square in Capitol Hill, housed within the 1888 Harrison Apartments and a 12-storey addition.
Amenities include the Arrels Spanish restaurant led by chef Pepe Moncayo, a year-round rooftop bar ART DC, an interior courtyard, 24-hour gym, and 4,287 square-feet of event space including five meeting rooms.

Elsewhere in the US, Arlo Hotels operates four properties in New York City, one in Miami and one in Chicago.
Last month, the company promoted Jimmy Suh from chief commercial officer to president.
