Venom is a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals and is easily a vital part of any team’s frontline strategy in the current Season. To maximize his effectiveness, it’s important to familiarize yourself with his abilities, ultimate, and overall playstyle.
Venom’s primary responsibility as a Vanguard is to shield his team and create opportunities for Duelists like Wolverine or Black Panther to unleash attacks on the enemy. An immense health pool, powerful symbiote tendrils, and the mobility to disengage from intense skirmishes using his swinging abilities make him one of the strongest Vanguards in the game.

How to play Venom in Marvel Rivals
Venom is a tank Hero in Marvel Rivals with a massive health pool and regeneration capabilities. However, this doesn’t mean you can charge headfirst into battle without consequences. Your primary goal as Venom is not to rack up eliminations but to disrupt the enemy team’s key DPS and healers, creating openings for your Duelists to close in and finish the job.
With Venom’s ability to swing and climb walls on every map, you can retreat when your health is low to regroup and plan your next move. His F ability is perfect for diving into contested zones, allowing you to crash into enemies, apply Cellular Corrosion, and follow up with relentless melee attacks.
While retreating or repositioning, it’s crucial to work closely with a healer to stay in the fight longer. This strategy lets you continue harassing the enemy team with Venom’s powerful tentacle strikes. Once your ultimate is ready, take some time to recover before using it to burrow underground and ambush high-value targets like the opposing team’s DPS or healers.
Although Venom has a bit of a learning curve, mastering his symbiote abilities can turn him into a devastating force, causing chaos and severely disrupting the enemy’s plans.
