As the BRICS Summit gets underway tomorrow, the uPhongolo Municipality in northern Kwazulu-Natal is also bracing itself for possible investment opportunities that may emerge from the gathering.
The municipality, which is strategically located at the border with Swaziland and the Mpumalanga province, is highly dependent on agriculture and tourism.
It’s also home to three major rivers and sources of water, the Mkuze River, Pongola River and Pongolapoort dam.
