Italy: The five-star collection Rocco Forte Hotels will open its second property in Milan in late summer 2025.

Housed in the former Baglioni Hotel Carlton on Via della Spiga, The Carlton Milan is set to offer approximately 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant and lounge bar, a wellness centre with gym and spa, and a rooftop bar with 360 views of the city.

Rocco Forte’s director of design Olga Polizzi has collaborated with interior designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen on the refurbishment project.

“Milan is one of the world’s most dynamic and design-centric destinations, a creative and vigorous city. We have great confidence in Milan’s future and the many international events and visitors it welcomes every year,” said Rocco Forte, founder and president of Rocco Forte Hotels. “We are thrilled to confront this extraordinary city and bring our philosophy of luxury and quality here.”

Following the opening of apartment building Rocco Forte House Milan in 2024, The Carlton Milan will mark the tenth property in Italy for Rocco Forte Hotels.

The group has signed a debut hotel in Dubai with target markets including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and North America.

PIF, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, acquired a 49 per cent stake in Rocco Forte in late 2023.
