Chelsea are apparently interested in signing a winger who plays for Crystal Palace currently, but the news will not go down well.
And that is no slight on the player at all and I’m sure he’s very good, but I’ll explain more further below.

Chelsea’s defeat against Brighton on Friday night has been named as the ‘worst performance’ under Enzo Maresca so far, and they are not wrong with that analysis at all.
There has been plenty of debate over who is to blame for how bad Chelsea are right now, with fingers being pointed at not just Maresca, but at the sporting directors who built this squad, as well as directly at the club owners. And the stats have backed up that all three have to share the blame right now.
Chelsea keen on Derry
Chelsea are keen on signing the Crystal Palace winger Jesse Derry.
According to Alan Nixon, the Blues are plotting a move to sign the 17-year-old Crystal Palace Academy player at the end of the season.
The timing of this is bad, because Chelsea fans are seething with the club after a terrible run of form, and hearing about them signing yet another teenager for the future will not go down well right now.
Most fans believe they need more experience and more players to help for the here and now, not in five years time. Frustrations are really boiling over amongst the fan base.
