Albon Pervizaj joins Fides Sports Promotion
After a comprehensive restructuring, promoter Burim Sylejmani has announced the first signing in the newly established team: Albon Pervizaj.
The 29-year-old returns to the ring after signing a multi-year contract with Fides Sports.
After a break of more than two and a half years, the powerful heavyweight wants to send a clear signal for the common path back to the top.
Albon Pervizaj, born in Hamburg, was once considered one of the greatest talents in the German heavyweight division and made his professional debut in 2017.
He subsequently fought 19 fights in the premier class, 18 of which he won before his career stalled.
“I love boxing. I deliberately withdrew to make myself more economically independent and to take my career into my own hands,” explains Pervizaj.
Today he lives in Düsseldorf and is working intensively with his new coach Anil on his return to the ring. He continues to receive support from Ulli Wegner, who is at his side as a mentor with advice and support and once looked after him at Sauerland.
Promoter Burim Sylejmani says: “We have completely repositioned ourselves and moved the headquarters of Fides Sports Promotion to Kosovo – especially in connection with the TV rights. In addition to the Kosovar broadcaster RTK, with whom we have an exclusive contract, DAZN will also continue to broadcast our events. Our goal is to reposition ourselves in the heavyweight division in a new and solid way. Agit Kabayel is currently showing what is possible if you stay disciplined and believe in yourself. I am convinced that Albon Pervizaj has the potential to play at the top again in Germany and Europe.”
A first event in northern Germany is already planned for the summer, where Pervizaj will make his debut for Fides and make an impressive comeback. In addition to him, Petr Milas, currently number two in the Croatian heavyweight ranking, has also been signed – another strong sign for the new direction of Fides Sports Promotion.
