Chavo Guerrero Jr. didn’t just step back into a TNA ring—he stepped right into the spotlight and instantly reminded everyone why he’s one of wrestling’s most outspoken veterans.
After 12 years away from iMPACT and five years out of in-ring action, the former WWE and WCW star made a return on TNA’s March 27 episode—and brought the fire with him.
Chavo teamed with Octagon Jr. and Laredo Kid (the Aztec Warriors) to take on Frankie Kazarian and First Class. El Paso lit up when Chavo hit his signature Frog Splash for the win, marking a huge moment in front of his hometown crowd. But it’s what he said the week prior on the March 20 episode that really had fans talking.
During a heated segment with AJ Francis, who was getting booed out of the building, Francis tossed a jab at Chavo and Dominik Mysterio. “If I wanted to have the second-best Guerrero on the First Class Penthouse, I would have called my buddy Dominik,” Francis said.
That’s when Chavo delivered a line that instantly broke the internet. “The verdict is still out on Dominik because we aren’t sure he’s a Guerrero yet. We’re waiting to find out. His mom did get around! And Eddie was damn good-looking.”
It was a ruthless callback to the infamous 2005 WWE storyline involving Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, and the custody of Dominik—a plot point that’s been joked about for nearly 20 years. Chavo brought it all back with one savage mic drop.
While the Knockouts division got its own chaotic moment involving Ash By Elegance getting her face shoved into a cake and Tatum Paxley licking the frosting off her face, Chavo’s comeback and verbal assault stole the entire week.
Chavo’s return has fans wondering if this is just the start of a longer run, and with comments like that, he’s clearly not pulling any punches.
