As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gather every six months, thousands of people work tirelessly behind the scenes to make general conference a success. But who are these people, and what is their story? Some are church employees, and others are unpaid volunteers, but each plays a crucial role in carrying the messages of general conference to hearts and homes throughout the world.
With over 100,000 in-person guests over the two days of general conference, countless things need to go right in order to create the deeply spiritual and memorable experience that general conference brings. This series showcases the work, dedication, and tremendous efforts of those who make general conference happen every six months, with a focus on different contributors to general conference in each episode. It is a behind-the-scenes insight and tribute to those unspoken heroes and the miracles they experience to bring the conference to the world.
In this episode, we get a sneak peak of witness the staging crew’s herculean task: of moving and assembling the stage for each general conference, which typically takes up to three work weeks to do.
