Kathy Griffin is recovering after a recent surgery.
On Monday (April 7), the 64-year-old comedian revealed that she had a hysterectomy last week while also sharing a funny anecdote about her “nurse,” who was seemingly a Donald Trump supporter.
“Happy Monday! I had a hysterectomy on Friday, that’s right they took out the uterus, the fallopian tubes & the ovaries,” Kathy wrote on Instagram.

Kathy went on, “I sent her home because she also thinks that ‘tariffs’ are ‘terrorists.’ So she kept saying stuff like ‘I don’t like Trump anymore because the price of eggs is going up and now he’s adding terrorists!’”
Then in the caption of the post, Kathy wrote, “Not to be an a–hole, but how do I NOT have a reality show to capture all of this??? I mean, you can’t write it. It’s too real. 😂😭🥺”
In 2021, Kathy announced that she had stage one lung cancer and that she needed to have surgery to remove half of her left lung. A few months later, she revealed she was cancer free.
