Oba Femi has been a dominant force in NXT for months, first as the North American Champion and now as the NXT Champion but he still has a lot to achieve. In fact, he has now made it clear that he has his sights set on winning the Royal Rumble one day.

While speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Oba Femi said that the Royal Rumble is the perfect setting for the Ruler, who thrives in multi-man matches. He believes it’s the ideal opportunity for the Ruler to enter the ring, eliminate 29 other competitors, and come out the winner.

“As we already know, that’s a pretty solid one. The Ruler is very good at multi-man matches. So the Royal Rumble is the perfect scenario for the Ruler to come in, throw 29 other bums out of the ring, and win the damn thing.”

When asked about the typical fast-paced nature of the Rumble and whether he would match that energy, Femi explained that there’s no reason to sprint if the other 29 competitors aren’t doing the same.

Femi pointed out that his version of a sprint and his pace are different from everyone else’s. In his view, even if everyone is giving their all, his effort still surpasses theirs. He made it clear that he would still eliminate all 29 men and win the match.

“There’s no point in keeping the pace if the other 29 guys aren’t keeping the pace. There’s no reason for me to sprint. But here’s the thing—my sprint and their sprint are different, okay? My pace and their pace are also different. So their five and my five—my five is better than their five. So I’m still throwing out all 29 men and winning the damn thing.”

Oba Femi isn’t content with just winning in NXT. He’s aiming for bigger goals, and the Royal Rumble is the perfect chance for him to show what he can do on a bigger stage. His confidence in beating any opponent will help him in the long run, so we’ll have to see when he will end up winning a Royal Rumble match.
