Less X-Wing, More X-COM

It’s a bit mean to tease us with a Star Wars Zero Company trailer when the game is not scheduled for release until possibly in 2026, but it is fun to check out.  This game is set at the end of the Clone Wars and puts you in charge of Zero Company, who are apparently professionals as opposed to heroes.  It looks to be like other X-COM like games where each of your team members has specializations, there is a Jedi and a Mandalorian with a jet pack shown off in the trailer.  You can also see a sniper and Stormtrooper, along with the only named character, Hawks, who seems to have leadership abilities to make other team members more effective.  Take a look at the trailer on Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN for a peek at a lot of pre-rendered scenes and a tiny slice of gameplay.

You can also have some fun with a game the majority of us are playing, as it turns out some old mods still work in Oblivion Remastered.  It may take a bit of work, but at the very least you can get rid of the logos which appear every time you launch the game.  Once they have time, modders will likely revive as many of the old Oblivion mods as they can.  You might also want to see some of the jankiness of the original which has made it into the remaster, as almost all the weirdness is still there.

Have fun bunny hopping and sneaking around random people to boost your skills, as that mechanic did indeed remain.
