Kairi Sane is on the verge of a comeback—and she says she’s coming back stronger than ever.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was pulled from the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title tournament back in December due to an injury that wasn’t publicly detailed at the time. Now, Sane has revealed exactly what happened—and how far she’s come.

“Three months ago, I tore a ligament in my thumb and couldn’t even open a bottle cap,” Sane wrote in a new Twitter post. “Now, I’ve fully regained my grip strength—and I’m even stronger than before.”

She also gave credit to her doctor for getting her back on track: “I’m truly grateful from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Hirsch, who performed my surgery. He was such a kind and wonderful doctor. I wish I had taken a photo with him to remember that moment.”

PWInsider is now reporting that Sane was backstage at WrestleMania 41 and is “expected to be back anytime.” While WWE hasn’t confirmed her official return date, all signs point to her being medically cleared very soon.

With Sane ready to go and the women’s division heating up, her return could shake things up in a big way.
