The Righteous Acts of the Saints ~by Thomas Downes

How are you responding to the leading of The Holy Spirit?

In Revelation 19 the Word of The LORD says:

“Alleluia! For The LORD omnipotent reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” Revelation 19:6-8.

Are you ready to be willing to hear His Voice?

Are you too occupied with the everyday need to finish something, to fix something, to clean up your act before you are good enough to hear what He is saying to you?

The LORD is speaking all the time to your heart.

Do pains seem to get in the way, like all the time?

The devil pokes those pains to keep you distracted; those add up to being the lies of your adversary.

The apostle Paul had the same issues. But The Holy Spirit told him, “My Grace is sufficient for you. For My power is made perfect in weakness….” (2 Corinthians 12: 9-10).

Resisting the adversary is a righteous act. Using the Sword of the Spirit is a righteous act.

For the Word of God is sharp and powerful, sharper than any double-edged sword, dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow.
It is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. There is nothing hidden from Him to Whom we all give an account. (Hebrews 4:13).

Since Jesus is our righteousness, we then are clothed in the fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts that we display by our faith in what Christ has done for us.

For He is our peace, and He has broken down every wall that was standing between you and the Father. Therefor the desire of the righteous shall be granted. (Proverbs 10: 24).
