The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is funding sex change surgeries in Guatemala.

Activist group Asociacion Lambda received $2 million from USAID to “strengthen trans-led organization to deliver gender-affirming health care, advocate for improved quality and access to services, and provide economic empowerment opportunities,” according to grant records.

The program is part of USAID’s Foreign Assistance Program. The program “works to support long-term and equitable economic growth and advance U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting economic growth, agriculture and trade; global health; and democracy, conflict prevention and humanitarian assistance,” a description reads.

Records indicate that the grant runs from April 15, 2024, to April 21, 2027.

The award comes as the Biden administration issued a memo in 2021 to advance the rights of LGBTQ-identifying individuals.

“Through this memorandum, I am directing all agencies engaged abroad to ensure that United States diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons,” the memo read.

Government agencies have provided millions of dollars to advance the LGBTQ agenda.

American Faith reported that the State Department paid Washington State University to teach 2,000 India how to become “LGBTQI+ allies.”

The State Department also funded a dance program to “uplift transgender and gender diverse” people in Peru.
