An illegal alien, Ramon Arnaldo Chavez-Rodriguez, is accused of killing St. Louis Police Officer David Lee in a drunk driving crash.
Chavez-Rodriguez, a 24-year-old from Honduras, allegedly struck Officer Lee, who was responding to another crash on the highway.
The suspect was reportedly speeding and had a blood alcohol level of 0.10 percent, over the legal limit in Missouri.
Lee, a husband, father, and 18-year veteran of the force, tragically lost his life in the incident. He is remembered fondly by his wife, Tonya.
“He was my partner, my other half. One half of my heart and I’m the other half of his heart,” Tonya said.
Chavez-Rodriguez remains in jail where he is being held without bond.
