We review the Kobalt XTR power tools including the XTR hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, and reciprocating saws. They even have a new LED light that does a bit more than the normal “throwaway” lights you find in many other tool combo kits. The new tools function as premium level tools targeting entry-level or budget-conscious Pros.
The existing Kobalt 24V tools didn’t go anywhere, so these tools feature a step-up in both performance and price. They compete very well against the Ridgid Octane line of tools, and we take them head to head against those as well.
