Lori Saint Rome: An artist empowering women through love and creativity

As the world celebrates National Women’s Small Business Month this October, Lori in Theory founder Lori Saint Rome shines as a woman-owned business making waves in both the art world and the Haitian-American community. Saint Rome, a South Florida-based artist born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is on a mission to nurture inner joy and community through her vibrant creations.

A third-generation artist and civil engineer by training, Saint Rome made a life-changing decision during the pandemic. She left behind her career in engineering to pursue her passion for art full-time. Inspired by her personal experiences, love for photography, fashion, and vibrant colors, Saint Rome created Lori in Theory in 2021 to help others find inner peace and radiance.

“Art is my way of creating a safe space where women can explore their values and build a joyful, loving environment in their homes,” said Saint Rome.

Her creations, which range from colorful, nature-infused canvases to patterned notebooks, stickers, and greeting cards, go beyond traditional artwork. Through her designs, Saint Rome aims to inspire women to challenge societal norms and embrace their true selves.

Saint Rome’s work has been recognized by major outlets like HBO, the Los Angeles Times, and Andrews McMeel Publishing. She sells her products online and at stores like Walmart, making her art accessible to a wide audience. [. . .]
