Days of Noah ~by Chris G. Bennett

A warning and a summary of where ‘The Church’ is at, and what needs to be understood by ALL, and not just a few.

The Church is in many ways like the people during the days of Noah before the flood!

It suspects something is up, but doesn’t quite know what?

It knows Noah is up to something, but can’t understand?

A few hold their tongue. A few more mock and deride him. While the majority carry on without a care or even a clue what’s actually happening.

“What’s this thing your building? An ark? What’s that for?”

“What’s rain — a flood?”

“Animals? Two by two? What’s that all about?”

Too late they woke up!

So today the scenario is so similar!

“What’s this ‘End-time’ thing?”

“Why now?”

“What’s a ‘Rapture’ — I don’t see that anywhere?”

“What’s this ‘Remnant’ — what makes you so special?”

“Why are you set apart — apparently dividing The Church?”

All good and valid questions, because large chunks of The Church have no idea about eschatology — “What’s that?”

They either ignore the question — or don’t want to know — or just don’t believe it!

It’s called the separation of wheat and tares in The Bible, and calls for revival are either warped to suit their own agenda, totally misunderstood in terms of what, how, commitment, or revival is eschewed altogether!

The waking process, probably better described as the next great awakening, is a slow, slow process.

As in the days of Noah, there’s a widespread ignorance of, or a culpable disobedience and preference of the worlds rhetoric, of the signs of the times that are so amply described in scripture.

Yet people are waking up to what’s going on. The young are searching for that ‘missing something’ that we call God.

More and more are questioning their leaders, political and spiritual, and the man in the street is fast waking up and critically examining every political and media statement, news bulletin, even to the extent of questioning their own blind acceptance of everything given to them.

After all, the government wouldn’t lie — would they?

The medical profession wouldn’t lie — would they?

And it must be true — because every television and newspaper is dedicated to the truth and what’s best for all of us — aren’t they?

Yes, the next Great Awakening has started and even when it seems otherwise, God has His hand on the steering wheel.

The awakening is rough and it’s going to get rougher and more shocking than even the greatest cynics would believe.

In the words of the old song, “Put your hand in the hand of the Man who stilled the water. Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea.”

God never promised us a smooth, easy ride as a Christian. He did promise Peace and a Hope — and He’s never broken His promise yet!

Jesus is coming back for us and, until He does, there’s still some work, and some awakening, to be done.
