Cruise lines are eager to get in on the upcoming Black Friday shopping frenzy by tempting future guests with a range of fare discounts, onboard credits, and free perks and services.

The incentives are typically offered not just on Black Friday, as most sales take effect before the big sale day and continue into early December.

Azamara

Azamara introduced its Black Friday Flash Sale on three 2025 voyages to South America, Asia, and the Mediterranean. The offer includes a discount of up to $4,000 (USD) on the stateroom cost. For non-USD bookings, the value of the savings offer will be converted to the guest’s currency.

The flash sale can be combined with another, existing offer, called the November Brand Offer, providing up to a $750 per stateroom onboard credit. The amount of the credit is based on sailing length.

The flash sale is valid for bookings made from November 19, 2024 to December 4, 2024 on three voyages. They include a 25-night Carnival Rio & Amazon Voyage, departing February 25, 2025; a 20-night Treasure of Asia Voyage, departing March 14, 2025; and a 12-night Spring Mediterranean & Grand Prix Voyage, departing on May 20, 2025.

Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten’s Black Friday sale runs from November 15, 2024 to December 2, 2024, although travel agents can start booking the special fares on November 13, 2024. Guests must book the sale fares by calling the cruise line or using its web site.

The line, an expedition-style brand that offers Norway and Arctic Circle voyages, is discounting fares up to 50% on certain sailings.

Fare reductions of up to 50% are available on some Coastal Express departures until September 2025. Coastal Express voyages explore the Norwegian coast and call at 34 ports. Guests can choose northbound or southbound routes, or combine both into a roundtrip option.

Discounts of up to 25% are offered on two of the line’s signature cruises — the Svalbard Line and the North Cape Line. The Svalbard journey operates in summer and includes the Norwegian coast and the Svalbard archipelago, while the North Cape cruise is a winter season voyage with a focus on the Northern Lights.

Margaritaville at Sea

The small cruise line that currently operates two ships is also getting in on the Black Friday action with its biggest-ever sale! Margaritaville at Seas is providing 60% off sailings that depart through 2026, 3rd and 4th guests sail free, and up to $300 of onboard credit! There’s also 10% off a number of different packages, including drinks and dining.

From November 13, 2024 to November 18, 2024, MSC Cruises is offering multiple perks to guests booking a sailing on any of its ships, including its newest ship, MSC World America, set to enter service in April 2025 from PortMiami.

The deal is for up to 35% off cruise fares, onboard credits up to $400, and free drinks and WiFi. The offer reflects savings of about $700 on 4-night cruises and about $1,000 on 7-night sailings.

MSC World America, under construction at a French shipyard, will offer seven districts, 13 dining venues, and thrill rides such as the Over-Water Swing Ride.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Guests can take advantage of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Black Friday offering, which includes a massive 50% off all cruises plus an option from a number of Free at Sea options such as unlimited open bar, free airfare and more.

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is combining fare discounts with bar tab credits on all cruises operating through 2026 that are booked between November 13, 2024 and December 3, 2024.

Under the offer, guests buy one cruise fare at a regular price and get 80% off the second guest’s fare. The bar tab credits are based on cruise length. A $100 bar credit is valid on cruises of 4 to 5 nights, $200 on cruises of 6 to 8 nights, and $300 on sailings of 9 or more nights.
