Launch of the Atlas of Longitudinal Datasets: A new searchable platform making longitudinal data discoverable for research

Next month, researchers at King’s College London, supported by MQ, the Wellcome Trust and experts by lived experience will be launching a ground-breaking platform that can facilitate research into health and wellbeing.

The Atlas of Longitudinal Datasets is a brand-new online, searchable platform that maps thousands of longitudinal datasets from around the world. Its launch event is a unique opportunity for researchers, data scientists, professionals, and anyone interested in the field of longitudinal studies to explore how the Atlas enhances the discoverability, and facilitates the accessibility, of existing longitudinal data across key disciplines including academia, the industry, education, and the government.

This new platform launches at an online event on the 22nd of January. Attendees will get a first-hand look at the platform’s innovative features through live demonstrations, interactive Q&A sessions with its developers, and insights into its application in research.

The event will also highlight the significance of the Atlas in bridging gaps and facilitating new research directions. Networking opportunities with key stakeholders—including funders, researchers, and individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions who advised on the development of the Atlas—will follow the main session.

The Atlas team Principal Investigator Professor Louise Arseneault from King’s College London, says:

“This is a special opportunity to be among the first to experience the Atlas, a platform designed to revolutionise longitudinal data discoverability. Gain direct insights into how this tool can support your research, uncover new datasets, and provide invaluable resources for future studies and grant applications. With presentations, demos, and networking opportunities, this event offers a comprehensive overview of how the Atlas can advance scientific discovery.”

The event will be held online on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025 from 13:00 to 17:00 (all times GMT). You can find the agenda on the website.
