Manchester United came back from 1-0 down to beat local rivals Manchester City 2-1 with two late goals at the Etihad on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim has now beaten Pep Guardiola’s side twice in the last 11 games, with City winning just one match during this period of time. If that wasn’t embarrassing enough for the blues, the behaviour of their captain, Kyle Walker, adds insult to injury.
After a cynical foul on Rasmus Hojlund, United’s Danish striker confronted Walker, only for the defender to throw himself to the floor.
Understandably, during his punditry for Sky Sports, former United captain Roy Keane was scathing about Walker.
This is going to happen in the game, a bit of argy-bargy. Of course it’s a foul, it’s a free-kick. Hojlund goes over, but Walker, he should be embarrassed. I don’t know the guy and I’m embarrassed by that.
Hojlund also mocked Walker, posting a picture of the altercation with the following caption: “Manchester is red; Violets are blue; What a brilliant performance; But the Oscar goes to…”.
