Some Jadon Sancho prop and some flowers to hand out now. I absolutely LOVE watching Sancho play football, what a player. He is my kind of winger.
Sancho has incredible close ball control and the way he just skips past players with the ball sticking to his feet is very Eden Hazard or Lionel Messi like. No, I’m not saying he is near the same levels as those two legends of the game, but elements of the way he dribbles reminds me of them.
I’ve always said that I wanted a winger at Chelsea who can dribble like that again, and Sancho is proving to be that guy. He has great dribbling technique and incredible skill when on the ball. But he is also not a greedy dribbler trying to do it all himself and he knows when to pass, drop the ball off, or take the shot on. He is intelligent as well as having a lot of quality.
Sancho is a player with the X-Factor when he is on his game, he gets you off your feet every time he gets on the ball, and you all feel that excitement. Other than Cole Palmer, Chelsea have lacked these types of players in recent years. I’m so pleased we bought him over in the summer.
What I also love is that he just cannot hide how happy he is to be at Chelsea. He’s literally already ‘propa Chels’ and he’s still technically registered as a Manchester United player!! That’s just brilliant, and the fact he is winding up the United fans as well just makes it even better.
Chelsea have to sign him as long as we finish above 14th place in the table I believe, which I think we can all now safely say we will! So Sancho knows he is going to be a permanent blue very soon, and he’s already earning his blue stripes.
He also just seems like a very humble and nice person, and the group all really seem to like him. He’s very much involved and just LOVES to be here.
If we can keep him confident, keep his mentality right, and keep him performing the way he is, then I think we will all soon be seeing the very best version on Jadon Sancho that the world has ever seen. Back in the England fold soon? Without a doubt.
