Renée Zellweger is continuing her to experiment with her style on the red carpet. After kicking off the Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy press tour in a strapless column dress in an out-of-character hot pink hue, the actress carried on with a slew of other looks that were unexpected for the star—including leather capris, sheer lace, and layered shirts

At last night’s New York City premiere of the film, Zellweger seemingly returned to her classic Old Hollywood roots, but with a sneaky ’90s twist. For the occasion, she wore a satin mint green Prada dress with a structured Bardot bodice and belted waist that resembled one of Rachel Green’s most iconic looks from Friends

In season three’s episode “The One Where No One’s Ready,” Jennifer Aniston, who played Green from 1994 to 2004, made everyone’s jaw drop when she stepped out in a stunning pastel green slip dress with coordinating shoes and a jacket for Ross’ important work event.

Like Green, Zellweger also matched her accessories to her dress, adding a pair of satin sage heels and a jade cocktail ring on her index finger. She finished off her look with an elegant updo and soft glam that consisted of rosy cheeks, petal pink lips, and glowing skin.

During the NYC premiere, Zellweger opened up about the fourth and final installment of the Bridget Jones franchise and how she’s coping with saying goodbye during an interview with People. Referring to her character as “an old friend,” the actress said that wrapping the film was “both wonderful and really sad,” adding that “real tears” were shed between the cast and crew when it was finally finished.
