Michelle McCool is finally getting the recognition many fans have been waiting for—she’s officially headed to the WWE Hall of Fame.
During an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, Triple H confirmed that McCool will be inducted as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025, making her the second inductee following Triple H himself. But the way the announcement went down made it even more special.
“Undertaker and Shawn Michaels decided that they wanted to go over on me. They wanted to make an executive decision and they wanted to come to one of our in-office events and surprise me and tell me that I was getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, which was an amazing surprise. But from the two of them, from Shawn and The Undertaker, this seemed like just getting one up on me,” Triple H said.
Then, he turned his attention to McCool, dropping the news she never saw coming. “The beautiful part of me right now is being the one to return the favor. So I wanted to come here today to take a moment to say—Michelle, WrestleMania season is upon us, which means Hall of Fame season is upon us. But I would like to tell you right now—you’re being inducted into the Hall of Fame.”
McCool had previously addressed speculation about a potential induction, admitting that while it would be an honor, she wasn’t sure if it would ever happen.
“I don’t know. It would be an honor, but I don’t know, not my call, don’t even know whose call it is,” she said in an interview with Chris Van Vliet.
She also made it clear that if she had a choice, she’d love to go in alongside Layla as LayCool, the duo that helped define WWE’s “Mean Girls” era of the women’s division.
“I would hope LayCool would go on. I mean it would be an honor to go in as Michelle McCool obviously, but think about LayCool is what put Michelle McCool on the map.”
Even The Undertaker has publicly stated that McCool deserves this honor, and with her multiple reigns as Women’s and Divas Champion, her legacy is undeniable.
Michelle McCool’s Hall of Fame induction is long overdue, and now the only question is whether LayCool gets their moment together or if McCool takes the stage solo. Either way, WrestleMania weekend just got a whole lot bigger. With The Undertaker already backing her, and Triple H delivering the news in epic fashion, one thing’s for sure—this Hall of Fame class just got a serious dose of flawless.
