The Pittsburgh Foundation Scholarships for High School Seniors
This spring, the Pittsburgh Foundation is partnering with Scholarship America to award more than a million dollars in scholarships to a wide range of students in Pittsburgh, PA and beyond.
Some of the opportunities available include:
- The Pittsburgh Foundation Single Year Scholarships for high school seniors from selected high schools in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Indiana. Over 100 scholarships are available, and they have been split into two groups. Review the eligibility for group 1 here and group 2 here.
- The Pittsburgh Foundation Renewable Scholarships for high school seniors from eligible high schools in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Indiana. These twenty scholarships provide funding for up to four years for students who maintain a satisfactory GPA and full-time enrollment while pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Review the eligibility here.
- The Pittsburgh Foundation Fox Chapel High School Scholarships for Pittsburgh seniors graduating from FCHS. Review the eligibility for each scholarship here.
Students applying to the Pittsburgh Foundation Scholarships can win multiple awards and receive up to $10,000 in scholarships per application. Funding from the Pittsburgh Foundation has made a difference for students like Aeryn Lesesne, the 2019 valedictorian of Pittsburgh Online Academy. Support from the Pittsburgh Foundation helped her avoid student loans. “I know coming out of school, I can take jobs, that, even if they don’t have the best pay, will let me make an impact, all because I don’t have to worry about making these large student loan payments,” she said.
Applications are open through April 1.
Wells Fargo Stacey Milbern Scholarship
Since 2017, Wells Fargo has proudly partnered with Scholarship America to award more than 250 renewable scholarships to students with disabilities, opening doors to new opportunities and fostering greater accessibility for all. In 2024, Wells Fargo named their scholarship program for students with disabilities “The Stacey Milbern Scholarship,” honoring Stacey Park Milbern, a Korean American disability justice activist, who helped create the disability justice movement and advocated for fair treatment of disabled people.
Milbern, a member of the Wells Fargo Diverse Abilities leadership team, died in 2020, leaving behind a rich legacy of activism. Milbern will be further commemorated in 2025 when her image will appear on the U.S. quarter.
Scholarship America recognized the impact of the Wells Fargo Stacey Milbern Scholarship by awarding Wells Fargo one of eight Irving Innovation Awards in November 2024. Named for Dr. Irving Fradkin, the founder of Dollars for Scholars, these new awards seek to celebrate organizations that are creating unique and powerful educational opportunities through their scholarships.
Andrew Holbrook, Chief Accessibility Officer at Wells Fargo, accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Holbrook continues to look to Milbern’s example to guide his work. “When thinking about accessibility and disability inclusion I often ask myself, ‘What would Stacey do?’” he says.
The 2025 Wells Fargo Stacey Milbern Scholarship is open to high school seniors, high school graduates and current postsecondary undergraduates who have an identified disability and who plan to enroll in full-time or half-time (at least 6 credits per term) undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants must also be United States citizens or legal residents and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.

The Meriden Foundation Scholarship Program
Founded in 1932, The Meriden Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to creating an all-inclusive community and improving the well-being of the citizens of Meriden, Connecticut. Centered just 85 miles from the Massachusetts town where Scholarship America was founded, the Meriden Foundation shares our organization’s dedication to community-focused scholarships for local students.
In addition to providing grants to local organizations, the Foundation offers funding for the continuing education of seniors graduating from Meriden-area high schools. Awardees can apply the funds to tuition costs for the course of undergraduate study of their choice at any institution.
The scholarship program provides scholarships of up to $5,000, renewable on an annual basis for up to three years. Funding for the scholarships comes from The George A. Clark Scholarship Fund, The Mildred O. and Paul Lyons Scholarship Fund, The Meriden Credit Bureau Scholarship Fund, The Dominic C. Naszcyniec Scholarship Fund, The Herbert and Elisabeth Reeves Educational Fund, The A. Leo and Edna C.
