The Legend of Zelda live action film, which is being co-financed by Sony, has a massive update.
On the newly launched Nintendo Today app (via Gematsu), the news dropped that the film is slated for an early 2027 release. Still no word on who is slated to star, but we know Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad are there as producers with Wes Ball directing.
Unfortunately, similarly, there’s no word on what the plan is for the story or anything like that outside of Ball’s desire to make this into a “live action Miyazaki” film. As it stands, March 26, 2027 is the planned release worldwide.
