SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites invites guests to explore the essence of Mendoza with a new Cowboy Core Getaway that combines adventure, authenticity, and a true connection to the land. The travel experience from the bespoke estate, created by pioneering Argentinean female winemaker Susana Balbo, blends contemporary luxury with the Mendocinian landscapes, incorporating horseback riding through the Andes, private wine tastings, wellness treatments inspired by the destination, and local traditions.
“This new program is designed for travelers who crave both adventure and luxury,” said SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites co-founder Ana Lovaglio Balbo. “From horseback rides through Mendoza’s stunning landscapes to intimate wine tastings and artisan shopping, we are offering a unique way to connect with the region while enjoying the highest level of luxury.”

The personalized experience starts on arrival at SB Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites with a mini massage and aromatherapy bath with local essences prepared in the suite’s ceramic tub shaped like a concrete wine egg. Accommodation for the four night stay is the hotel’s spa suites, complete with steam shower and sauna, allowing guests to unwind after days filled with exploration. The first evening features a seven-course dinner with wine pairings at La VidA Restaurant. The gastronomic journey highlights the hotel’s signature art piece, the Tree of Life by Sergio Roggerone. Commissioned specifically for the hotel, the art has seven levels representing the most important stages in a person’s life. Dishes include ingredients from the seven main elements including the roots, stem, flowers, birds, branches, fruits, and parasites.

The second day in the destination features a private horseback ride on Criollo horses in the fields of the Uco Valley. Led by the owner of Entreandes, a dynamo himself and endless source of legends and education about rural life in the region, the excursion is complemented by a traditional Argentine ‘asado’ — a feast of grilled meats – for a celebration of local flavors in an unparalleled natural setting. Before heading back to Luján de Cuyo, a visit to KDS Fine Cutlery provides an intimate look at the meticulous artistry of local bladesmiths and other top artisans.

Upon return to the hotel, guests are treated to the Yerba Mate Treatment. Yerba mate, a South American brewed hot beverage similar to tea known for its antioxidant-rich and energizing properties, is used throughout several steps of the body exfoliation, masque, and massage.

The next day, the Cowboy Core Getaway features a visit to a local leather shop in Mendoza City for handcrafted goods. Guests can browse a curated selection of mates, ponchos, and leather options, ensuring they take home a piece of Mendocino culture to commemorate their time in the region. In addition, they can grab some chic western wear for another ride in the afternoon. The Mountain Horseback Ride offers breathtaking views of the Andes from the Valley of Las Vegas and the Potrerillos Dam.

The Cowboy-Core Getaway would not be complete without an immersive and exclusive winery tour of the renowned Susana Balbo Winery. Diving into the world of Argentine wine, with a private tasting and a vineyard picnic, guests can immerse themselves in Mendoza’s celebrated winemaking heritage.

The Cowboy Core Getaway starts at $2,980 USD per person based on double occupancy. This includes all of the aforementioned activities and private transfer to and from the airport in Mendoza. For more information about the hotel please visit susanabalbohotels.com.
