Premiere Date, Trailer, First Photos, and More

The latest news trickling in about Outer Banks Season 4 is exciting, and we’re ecstatic to share everything we know so far, from revealing first-look photos to a premiere date and a trailer, too!

Not even the Pogues are exempt from Netflix’s split-season formatting, but the teases outweigh the setbacks.

So, let’s get into all the details about Outer Banks Season 4!

Has Outer Banks Been Renewed for Season 4?

Welcome to Poguelandia - Outer Banks
(Netflix)

Babes, Outer Banks Season 4 was renewed before season three even aired!

That’s how confident Netflix has been in this action-packed adventure involving our favorite group of besties on a mission.

In February 2023, a pretty epic Outer Banks event took place, featuring many of the cast.

Poguelandia, which took place in Huntington Beach, California, was the place to be.

Part of the immersive fan-friendly event included John B’s very own Chase Stokes announcing that the series got renewed for a fourth season.

“Outer Banks has been renewed for a fourth season! This is an incredible moment for all of us,” he shared. “To our cast and crew, thank you so much for all of your hard work.”

Fingers crossed that we’ll get a similar announcement ahead of the fourth season, right?

Is Outer Banks Season 4 Currently Filming?

Is it currently filming? You guys, it WRAPPED filming!

Dual strikes halted many things, causing many series and their future seasons to be out of whack.

But now that things are back on track, so is the excitement about what’s to come.

Fortunately, Outer Banks was able to plug away.

The series started filming its new season in November 2023 in Wilmington, North Carolina, and it officially wrapped up filming on June 20.

The Pogues made a fun announcement about the news, sharing that the season was a “wrapski” and teasing another epic journey!

When Will Outer Banks Season 4 Be Released?

The leaves may be falling, but come October 7, you’ll find us curling up in a cozy sweater and warm apple cider and escaping to the beach with the Pogues.

But there’s a caveat that many of you likely saw coming.

So, remember when we mentioned that Outer Banks had fallen victim to the two-part season?

Will the New Season Be Split Into Two Parts?

Pope and Cleo - Outer Banks S0302 (Tall)
(Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix)

Unfortunately, yes.

Hit series such as Bridgerton and YOU have had to endure it, while Virgin River had a season followed by a two-episode holiday event a few months later; Outer Banks isn’t exempt.

Part 1 of Outer Banks Season 4 will drop on October 10.

Part 2 of Outer Banks Season 4 will air on November 7.

How Did Outer Banks Season 3 End?

Let’s dust off the sand and refresh our memories of the previous season.

After another chaotic ordeal that included John B. mostly splitting up from the group to run off with his father in search of El Dorado, tragedy struck when he lost his father again, officially this time.

John B and Sr - Outer Banks S03E06 (Tall)

Sarah could say the same as Ward died after doing one final good deed for the love of his daughter.

Despite some kidnappings, and Kie getting rescued from a sadistic behavior camp by bestie turned beau, JJ, and Pope and Cleo finally making a love connection of their own, the Pogues got their happily ever after.

They found El Dorado’s treasure and returned to Kildare as heroes, able to cash in and achieve the success they had been hunting for over the course of three seasons.

Shockingly, the finale treated us to an 18-month time-jump that saw these teens now young adults, free from the confinements of high school and parents (not that it EVER held them back in the first place) and moving on to bigger and better things.

John B felt like he had found some normalcy, and he and Sarah had a surf shop.

Pope went off to school, with Kie saving the turtles and JJ buying a charter boat.

But all their adult-like plans came to a screeching halt when a wealthy individual sidled up to them and dangled the prospect of another adventure.

Blackbeard’s treasure is up for grabs, and the Pogues are just the people to find it.

Despite the finality of the season’s time jump, the prospect of a new adventure opens things up!

What Will Outer Banks Season 4’s Plot Be About?

Rafe Struts - Outer Banks S0304 (Tall)

The fourth season, which marks a new chapter for the series, has the potential to be the most exciting one yet.

They’ve spent three seasons searching for the same treasure and unraveling the same mysteries, but now that those storylines are tied up with a neat bow, the series can explore so much more.

By aging the characters, the series matures more, as do the characters and their dynamics.

John B. and Sarah will both still be dealing with the loss of their fathers and grieving, and we’ll likely get to see how that manifests and changes them in due time.

(Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix)

And that may or may not have an impact on their relationship as well.

And now that they’ve matured, there’s a level of self-doubt, according to star Chase Stokes, as the Pogues have officially been hired and tasked with finding one of the most famous treasures on earth.

Yes, the show introduced Blackbeard into the mix, and it sounds like the showrunners will play around with some of Blackbeard’s mythology.

Showrunner Josh Pate has also previously teased that the season will feature many flashbacks to recap what transpired in the 18-month time jump.

But let’s face it, you guys are looking for a full-blown synopsis, and lucky for you, we have it!

The official logline of Outer Banks Season 4 reads:

Following last season’s 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure, Season 4 takes us back in time to the lead-up of that moment. After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and commit to having a “normal” life. They’ve built themselves a new safe haven, officially dubbed “Poguelandia 2.0”, where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop. But after some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo take Wes up on his offer, drawn back into the “G” game for a whole new adventure. But before they know it, they’re well in over their heads, with dangerous new enemies hot on their heels racing them to the treasure. Meanwhile, their problems are only growing, and they’re forced to question their past, present, and future – who they really are, has it all been worth it, and how much are they willing to risk?

What Cast is Returning in Outer Banks Season 4?

Holding On - Outer Banks
(JACKSON LEE DAVIS/NETFLIX)

It wouldn’t be P4L without the Pogues, right?

Even though nearly the entire cast has catapulted to star level and are staying booked and busy these days, they’ll all be back for season 4.

The main cast will include:

  • Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron

  • Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron

The cast will also include Austin North as Topper.

Are There New Faces Joining Outer Banks Season 4 Cast?

Topper - Outer Banks S03E06 (Tall)
(Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix)

Of course, there are, and we’re excited about who is joining the cast and in what capacity.

  • J. Anthony Crane from Billions will play a grief-stricken widow who plays a connective role in leading the Pogues toward their newest adventure.
  • Dynasty’s Brianna Brown is a former colleague and acquaintance of Ward and the island’s biggest realtor, who may partner with Rafe for future business deals.
  • Rigo Sanchez, who recurred in Station 19, will play a dangerous pirate of sorts, Lightner, who may be an obstacle for John B and the gang.

(Byron Cohen/ABC)
  • Mia Challis from FBI: International will guest-star as wild child Ruthie, who takes a shine to Topper, although she may put the “to” in toxic!

Is There a Teaser for Outer Banks Season 4?

If you want a taste of the Pogues, then yeah, there’s a quick little teaser that will make you smile.

While it doesn’t show us much, it reminds us that a fourth season is coming.

And it also totally embodies the characteristics of our favorite Pogue members.

Check it out!

How Many Episodes Will There Be?

The new season will have ten episodes like the previous three seasons.

It’s not ultra-short, and, thus, the perfect episode count for a series like this!

And it’ll be split evenly with five episodes released at a time.

John B Glow - Outer Banks S03
(Jackson Lee Davis/Netflix)

Is There A Full Trailer?

Hell yeah!

We know why you’re here!

Brace yourselves because the minute-long trailer is absolutely epic and highlights that the series’ adventures are not even remotely close to slowing down.

The trailer opens with our chill protagonist, John B, narrating, “We finally did it. We finally found the gold.”

And it’s all lowkey and good vibes as the Pogues settle into their normal lives in Outer Banks and enjoy the fruits of their labor after acquiring the El Dorado treasure.

Shoutout to shippers because the couples appear to be in good standing, as we get some sweet moments between John B/Sarah, JJ/Kiara, and Pope/Cleo.

But nothing can ever be chill for the Pogues, right?

Especially if our lovable troublemaker JJ has anything to do with it.

Jonas Pate - Outer Banks
(Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for Netflix))

John B genuinely believes that all of them are happy and settled in and that their story should have ended, but that is FAR from the case.

It looks like a bet will be taking place, perhaps JJ in a motocross scenario, as he cheekily tells his friend that they have “Nothing to lose,” but a distressed John B pipes back, “No, we’ve got everything to lose this time.”

The trailer has everything: Pope racing on a motorbike seemingly in danger, JJ coldcocking someone (maybe Rafe?), Rafe drinking on the beach, Jiara deep-sea diving (no, that’s not a euphemism), and Cleo using her trusty knife to fend off an attacker.

It’s glorious, so trust us and check it out!

You didn’t think we just had a trailer for you, did you?

Are There First Look Images of the New Season?

Yes, there are first-look stills of the season as well, and we’re equally as excited about them.

They feature each of the couples, John B and Sarah’s lovingly sharing a moment as the sunlight casts over them through a window.

We get a glimpse through a port hole of JJ and Kiara sharing a bed.

Pope and Cleo seem perfectly happy with each other, holding hands while Cleo looks at him adoringly during a stroll.

We also get a couple of group shots in varying degrees of concentration or stress as a new adventure awaits, Rafe throwing back a beer on the beach, and more.

Check them out!

How to Construct a Multipage Data Science Web App in Python with Taipy | by Alan Jones | Sep, 2024

0

Taipy is a framework for building Data Science and AI web apps in Python. As such, it is a competitor to the likes of Streamlit or Dash, but it is distinct from both of those products.

Taipy separates the user interface from the rest of the program logic and uses callbacks to add functionality to user controls. In this sense, it is closer to Dash than Streamlit where the user interface controls are often incorporated into the main Python code.

Both Dash and Taipy are based on the Flask microframework, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that there are similarities but where in a Dash app, you essentially construct your user interface in HTML (but written with Python functions), Taipy has an additional layer of abstraction that lets the user define user controls that are closer to Streamlit than Dash.

So, is Taipy the best of both worlds? I wrote an introduction in A Data Dashboard in Pure Python with Taipy that explores how to construct a web app in Taipy, so you can judge for yourselves how easy it is to use.

Black Ops 6 players want classic yet toxic feature back

0

Black Ops 6 brings a lot of iconic features back to Call of Duty, from Wildcards and the classic Scorestreak system to round-based Zombies. However, you can’t chat with the enemy after a match, leaving those who like to trash-talk disappointed.

Usually, once a CoD multiplayer match finishes, comms are open on both teams and you’re able to let the enemy know exactly how you feel. This has become a staple feature in Call of Duty multiplayer, allowing players to brag after a big win or play.

However, during the Black Ops 6 beta, players noticed that they weren’t able to hear or speak to enemy players at the end of a match, which led to some questions about why it had been removed.

Popular content creator ‘I AM WILDCAT’ shared his thoughts on the removal of the feature, claiming that the game feels “lifeless and empty” without it, as if it was just “bots” he was playing against. Comments under the post share a common opinion of wanting the feature to return.

It comes as a bit of a surprise since you can still hear enemies after killing them, and voice chat is even enabled between the attacker and victim when the Body Shield mechanic is initiated. It’s unclear why voice chat is disabled after a match ends, but perhaps it has something to do with toxicity.

In recent years, Call of Duty have been clamping down on toxicity in the game through their code of conduct, which warns players against being abusive via voice chat.

However, if that’s the case, it seems odd to bring a mechanic into the game that allows you to speak to the enemy when you’re using them as a body shield, which is a much more toxic situation and has already created some hilarious clips.

Despite its toxicity, post-game voice chat between teams has become a core part of the Call of Duty multiplayer experience, ingrained in the game’s culture and beloved by players for the raw, unscripted interactions it presents.

It’s important to note that the game is currently still in beta, and many things can change from now to its launch version. The devs have not addressed the removal of the feature just yet, but if there’s enough demand, Treyarch may comment on the situation.

Update: Hunter Biden Pleads Guilty to Tax Crimes

0

Hunter Biden pled guilty to nine federal charges related to tax crimes.

Abbe Lowell, Biden’s lawyer, said, “Hunter decided to enter his plea to protect those he loves from unnecessary hurt and cruel humiliation.”

“This plea prevents that kind of show trial that would not have provided all the facts or served any real point in justice. He will now move on to the sentencing phase, while keeping open the options to raise the many clear issues with this case on appeal.”

Biden’s lawyers considered entering an “Alford plea,” which would have led to the president’s son pleading guilty but maintaining his innocence.

U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi told Biden that the charges will result to up to 17 years in prison and a maximum fine of over $1 million.

According to a press release from the Justice Department, Biden “engaged in a four-year scheme in which he chose not to pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019 and to evade the assessment of taxes for tax year 2018 when he filed false returns.”

The release adds that when Biden did “finally file his 2018 returns, included false business deductions in order to reduce the very substantial tax liability he faced as of February 2020.”

Biden’s sentencing is scheduled for December 16.

Some speculate that Biden will be pardoned by his father.

Test of summer metal raised garden beds temperature| VEGEGA

0

As the temperatures get higher, many gardeners get concerned about their plants in metal raised garden beds. Namely, there has been a worry among plant lovers that plants and herbs might not thrive during the hot days because of metal getting hotter. Although the assumptions have been circulating over the internet for a long time, the results show something different.

That is, before you get anxious about your metal beds, it is wise to get proof of the impact these beds have on the plants in your garden.

That is why we have tested how plants behave in higher temperatures in metal garden beds.

Testing Metal Garden Beds and Their Effects on Higher Temperature

Since the concerns about metal raised garden beds have been an issue among gardeners, we have decided to do a quick test. After all, we want to show you facts and not let you wallow in assumptions. Plus, it is better to rely on tried and tested instead of experimenting yourself. So, we took the liberty to do all the testing!

For this measuring process, we used a garden with different kinds of plants and vegetables. Some of the plants require warmer temperatures, while others do not. Therefore, if the metal garden bed gets too hot, logically, the plant inside is not expected to thrive. However, we got some different results – quite surprising ones!

First, we measured the temperature outside, which was quite normal considering it was summer. More precisely, it was 93 degrees, a lovely warm summer day. After that, we measured the temperature of the metal beds, which expectedly was about 89 and 90 degrees. But then, it was the moment of truth. We measured the temperature of the soil inside the metal garden bed. And you would expect to be incredibly hot from the metal and sunshine, but actually, it was a completely different story! In ALL of the garden beds, the soil temperature was below 90 – meaning it was not hotter than the temperature of the flower beds. So, naturally, we concluded that the metal raised garden beds DO NOT affect the temperature of the soil, i.e., they do not raise it.

The metal panels dissipate heat better when exposed to the sun, so there is no chance of the soil inside the bed getting too hot and burning the roots of your plants. In addition, the garden beds are enclosed by rubber edging, so even if you work in the sun, you don’t have to worry about overheating the beds and getting burned.

But the point is we don’t do partial testing or showing what we want to prove. The garden we used has different kinds of plants, flowers, and vegetables with just as different requirements. They grow without any issues, and they seem unaffected by the temperatures of the metal beds. Even though it is true and expected that metal will get warmer quickly when exposed to heat, it does not affect the soil or the growth and development of plants. You don’t have to do any guesswork now that you have the results! If you need more proof, you can also do a quick test that will prove what we already established.

Ps: Here is the testing video on Instagram.

Do Other Garden Beds Get Hotter During Summer?

Whatever bed material you choose for your raised bed garden, you should expect your beds to get hotter. It is a normal reaction to summer heat. However, the temperatures that reach the beds do not harm the plants.

For instance, even if you choose a wooden flower bed, you will notice that it will get hotter than the soil. That does not mean that your plants will be affected or damaged. You might hear or read a lot of things, but results show different effects. Therefore, you should not be concerned about the development of your plants if you decide to use metal beds for your garden.

Also read: Is It Safe to Use Metal Raised Garden Beds?

Using The Faster Warming Up of a Metal Flower Bed as An Advantage

Faster growth of plants

Since metal raised beds get warmer faster, especially during summer months, you can use this property as an advantage. In essence, metal absorbs more heat on the sides and keeps the sides of the soil warmer. However, the soil in the center of your bed keeps a normal temperature, which is good for your flowers, vegetables, and other plants.

Since metal maintains the temperature, your plants will get the warmth that keeps them growing. Moreover, some plants that need warm conditions will thrive and grow faster. In other words, your garden will blossom faster than expected, which is the whole point of gardening.

Therefore, when you opt for a metal raised bed garden, you establish conditions for your plants to flourish faster.

17” Tall 6.5×2 Garden Boxes Raised (6 in 1)【Upgrade 2.0】

Our 17″ tall 6.5×2 garden boxes are famous among most gardeners. Firstly, their optimal drainage system provides an environment where vegetables can grow freely in high-rainfall areas. Furthermore, the raised boxes significantly curtail many planting tasks, including fertilizing and weeding.

This system also requires less cleaning and no maintenance or replacement for 20 years. Lastly, it requires no DIY skills and its assembly is remarkably straightforward.

  • Metal sheet material: Zn-Al-Mg steel
  • Screw and nut material: stainless steel
  • Bracing rod material: aluminum alloy
  • Size: 17 in.H x 6.5 ft.L x 2 ft.W
  • Package list: Hand wrench*1/ Rubber edging *1 roll/ Screw&nut*1 set/ 17″ high corner panel*4/ 17″ high side panel*6/ Bracing rods*2

Raised Garden Boxes Benefits

Improved Soil Quality in Garden Boxes

Firstly, raised boxes help prevent soil compaction while enhancing drainage and aeration, which contributes to healthier root growth.

Reduced Weeds and Pests Out of Garden Boxes

Additionally, since raised boxes are elevated off the ground, they reduce the growth of weeds and the intrusion of ground-dwelling pests, making maintenance easier.

Easier Management and Harvesting

Furthermore, the height of the boxes makes planting and harvesting more convenient, especially for those who may have difficulty bending down.

Better Drainage and Preventing Waterlogging

Moreover, raised garden boxes typically feature effective drainage systems that prevent waterlogging of the plant roots, thereby reducing the risk of diseases.

Increased Planting Space

Even in limited spaces, raised garden boxes provide additional planting areas, allowing you to grow more plants.

Aesthetic Appeal and Customization

Finally, raised garden boxes come in various materials and designs, which can be customized to fit personal preferences and garden aesthetics, enhancing the overall look of your garden.

View Details

Increased plant health

When the soil is heated from the sides, it allows your plants to intake more nutrients leading to better health. Like people, plants need nutrients to stay in good condition, and warm soil creates nutrients. Moreover, the roots become stronger, leading to more vigorous growth.

Prevents increased weed growth

Gardeners know how annoying weed growth can be around beautiful nourished plants. Since metal absorbs heat faster and keeps the sides hot, it reduces weed growth significantly. Namely, it does not mean weed growth will stop altogether, but it will be reduced. Therefore, you will not have to maintain your plants’ surroundings very frequently, and your garden can stay amazing for extended periods. It is an incredibly convenient feature for busy gardeners.

Conclusion

If you have invested in metal raised garden beds for your plants, you do not have to worry about them getting damaged during the summer months. In fact, you should use the advantages that metal provides for your garden vegetables and flowers. Our test has shown that a garden can flourish with metal beds, so you can relax and enjoy the greenery of your thriving plants!
