The Ultimate Tool for MGAs and Wholesalers

0

This post is part of a series sponsored by Selectsys.

In the fast-paced world of insurance, efficiency, accuracy, and speed are vital to success. For MGAs and wholesaler underwriters, the traditional challenges of navigating multiple carrier websites, re-entering data, and managing policy documents can slow productivity and impact client satisfaction. Underwriter Link is here to change that. This innovative platform is designed to streamline the entire quoting and binding process, enabling underwriters to work smarter and faster, all within a centralized hub.

“Empowering Underwriters with Broader Markets, Smarter Coverage, and Seamless Quoting”

Underwriter Link revolutionizes the way you manage your workflow, providing a unified solution that enhances every aspect of the underwriting process.

The Challenge

Underwriters in the insurance industry face numerous challenges. The fragmented approach of logging into different carrier websites, entering the same data repeatedly, downloading policy documents, and manually emailing them to agents is time-consuming and prone to errors. These inefficiencies can lead to delays and hinder overall productivity, ultimately affecting client satisfaction and business outcomes.

The Solution: Underwriter Link

Underwriter Link is the innovative platform that addresses these challenges head-on. By offering a centralized solution for quoting and binding policies across multiple carriers, Underwriter Link simplifies the underwriting process, reducing the need for repetitive tasks and minimizing errors. Whether you’re handling General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Property, Cyber, Home, or other Property & Casualty lines, Underwriter Link brings everything together in one place, making your work easier and more efficient.

Case Study: Enhancing Efficiency and Client Satisfaction

  • The Client: A mid-sized MGA specializing in Commercial Property and Workers’ Compensation insurance, with clients spread across multiple states.
  • The Challenge: The MGA was struggling with inefficiencies in their quoting and binding process. Underwriters were required to log into various carrier portals, repeatedly entering the same data, which not only slowed down their operations but also led to frequent errors and frustration among both underwriters and clients.
  • The Solution: After implementing Underwriter Link, the MGA was able to centralize their quoting and binding process. This allowed underwriters to enter data once and seamlessly apply it across multiple carriers, streamlining their workflow and reducing errors.
  • The Results: Within three months of adopting Underwriter Link, the MGA saw a 35% reduction in turnaround time for quotes, a 25% decrease in data entry errors, and a 20% improvement in overall client satisfaction. Underwriters appreciated the platform’s user-friendly interface, which allowed them to focus more on client interactions and less on administrative tasks.

Key Benefits

  1. Accelerated Efficiency: Underwriter Link enables underwriters to quickly access quotes from multiple carriers through a single, unified platform. This significant reduction in turnaround time allows you to meet client needs faster, improving service delivery and giving you a competitive edge in the market.
  2. Error Minimization: A common issue with traditional underwriting processes is the risk of errors due to repetitive data entry. Underwriter Link eliminates this problem by allowing you to input data once and apply it across multiple carriers, greatly reducing the chance of mistakes.
  3. Streamlined Workflow: Seamlessly transition from quoting to binding with Underwriter Link’s integrated workflow. This feature fosters smoother collaboration with agents, enhances overall efficiency, and ensures that policies are issued accurately and promptly.
  4. User-Friendly Experience: Underwriter Link is designed with the user in mind. Its intuitive interface makes the quoting and binding process straightforward and enjoyable, allowing underwriters to focus on delivering exceptional service to their clients.
  5. Comprehensive Coverage Access: Access a wide array of carriers for diverse lines of business with Underwriter Link. This comprehensive approach ensures you can offer the best coverage options to your clients, helping you meet their varied needs and build stronger relationships.

Conclusion

Underwriter Link is not just a tool—it’s a revolutionary platform that empowers underwriters to navigate the complexities of the insurance industry with ease. Ultimate Breakfast Tacos | Nutrition Stripped

0

Try these delicious, quick, and easy ultimate breakfast tacos for any time of day. They’re rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

This recipe for the ultimate breakfast tacos includes a flexible template to make your tacos following the Foundational Five formula for a balanced meal.

The foundation of any taco is choosing a great tortilla, whether you’re making them from scratch at home, supporting a local supermercado, or choosing your favorite specialty store-bought tortillas such as grain-free varieties. I’m partial to corn tortillas, but you can choose whatever fits your preference for this recipe.

Ultimate Breakfast Taco Ingredients

Let’s break down the core ingredients needed to make a delicious and nutritionally balanced breakfast taco using the Foundational Five.

For protein, I enjoy scrambled eggs the most. However, you can get creative and choose fish, chicken, tofu, tempeh, or any other quality protein you like.

For fat, avocados are great to use, you may also enjoy ingredients like cheese or sour cream.

For non-starchy carbohydrates (fiber), I enjoy using cilantro microgreens, pickled red onion, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, sauteed bell peppers, and sliced radish. Have fun with the vegetables you choose to top your tacos with knowing each of them will contribute to boosting the fiber of this meal, which is important for all meals!

For starchy carbohydrates, the tortilla type you choose will provide carbohydrates, additionally, I enjoy and recommend refried or pinto beans for an added fiber boost.

For the Flavor Factor, try fresh lime juice, salsa, and hot sauce.

I hesitate to call this a “recipe” because it’s a simple template for building your taco following these guidelines.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers discover Europa League opponents

0

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers discover who they will play in the Europa League league phase, with the Scottish side facing both Premier League teams.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers have discovered who they will play in the Europa League league phase following Friday’s draw ceremony.

Rather than the familiar group-stage format of years gone by, the 2024-25 edition of the Europa League will instead see an expanded league phase, as 36 teams vie for the top eight automatic qualifying places.

Despite labouring to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last season, Man United’s FA Cup success earned them direct entry into the Europa League, as did Spurs’ fifth-placed ranking in the top flight.

Scottish giants Rangers – who were in pot one alongside Spurs and Man United – complete the British representation, and Philippe Clement‘s side have remarkably been drawn to face both Premier League teams.

Rangers will face Erik ten Hag‘s men at Old Trafford and will welcome Spurs to their Ibrox base, while Man United will also enjoy a mouthwatering reunion with a former manager.

One of the two pot two teams the Red Devils have been drawn to face is Fenerbahce, managed by former Man United boss Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese will be hosting his erstwhile employers rather than returning to Old Trafford.

As well as Rangers and Fenerbahce, Man United also face last season’s beaten Champions League quarter-finalists Porto away, while hosting Greek powerhouses PAOK at Old Trafford.

From pot three, Ten Hag’s men will welcome Bodo/Glimt to Old Trafford and travel to face Viktoria Plzen, while Eredivisie side FC Twente (home) and Romanian outfit FCSB (Romania) complete the Red Devils’ set of opponents.

Meanwhile, Spurs will tackle another of Mourinho’s former clubs in Roma at home, and Ange Postecoglou‘s side will also welcome AZ Alkmaar, Qarabag and Elfsborg to their North London headquarters.

In addition to their trip to Rangers, Spurs’ other league phase away matches see the Lilywhites take a short trip to Germany to face Hoffenheim, while also facing Galatasaray in Turkey and Ferencvaros in Hungary.

Rangers drawn to face two Ligue 1 clubs

As for Rangers, the Scottish Premiership titans have been drawn to take on two Ligue 1 clubs in addition to Man United and Spurs, hosting Lyon (pot two) and travelling to Nice (pot four).

Clement’s side are also welcoming FCSB and Belgian outfit Union SG to Ibrox, and they will face Greek giants Olympiacos and Swedish side Malmo away from home in the league phase.

The top eight teams in the league phase directly advance to the last 16, while sides ranked ninth to 24th will compete in the playoffs for the final eight places, with no teams dropping down from the Champions League or moving to the Europa Conference League.

The league phase will take place from September 25 to January 30, while the final will take place at Athletic Bilbao’s Estadio de San Mames on May 21.

Europa League league phase draw for Man United, Tottenham and Rangers:

Man United: Rangers (H), Porto (A), PAOK (H), Fenerbahce (A), Bodo/Glimt (H), Viktoria Plzen (A), FC Twente (H), FCSB (A)
Tottenham: Roma (H), Rangers (A), AZ Alkmaar (H), Ferencvaros (A), Qarabag (H), Galatasaray (A), Elfsborg (H), Hoffenheim (A)
Rangers: Tottenham (H), Manchester United (A), Lyon (H), Olympiacos (A), Union SG (H), Malmo (A), FCSB (H), Nice (A)

Pure maple syrup adds the sweetness. Replace with honey if needed.

Two eggs help bind the batter together.

Vanilla extract adds a warmth of flavor.

Baking soda helps these blondies rise slightly.

A pinch of sea salt helps balance out the flavors.

Lastly, add in your favorite mix ins! We love dark chocolate chips. Chopped nuts also taste great!

Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined to keep the texture soft and fluffy.

The SEC ‘regrets confusion’ it may have invited stating some tokens are securities

0

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed an amended complaint against Binance in the District of Columbia, introducing procedural updates and legal modifications to its original filing.

The amendment, approved this morning, includes a motion under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 15(a)(2), accompanied by a memorandum explaining the reasons for the changes, a proposed amended complaint, and a redline version highlighting the alterations.

Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase, commented on the SEC’s amended complaint via social media. “The SEC regrets any confusion it may have invited by falsely and repeatedly stating that tokens themselves are securities,” he noted, highlighting Footnote 6 of the amended complaint. He questioned the SEC’s longstanding position, stating,

“The SEC absolutely ‘maintained’ that tokens themselves are securities is clear from the long record of their regulation by enforcement campaign. Why mislead the Court?”

Grewal shared an extract from the complaint, which clearly states the SEC’s admittance of regret.

Grewal also addressed the SEC’s approach to Ethereum (ETH) transactions, noting the agency’s lack of clarity on how ETH transactions have meaningfully changed compared to other digital assets under scrutiny.

He remarked,

“Somehow ETH transactions have changed in a meaningful way that the Ten Crypto Assets have not so as to avoid the agency’s clutches. How? That’s apparently for the SEC to know, and the rest of us to find out only if and when we are sued.”

Per the amended complaint, the filing references additional documents, including an order denying the defendants’ motion to dismiss in a related case, SEC v. Payward, Inc. (Kraken). Procedural deadlines have been set, with Binance and its co-defendants required to respond by October 11, either opposing the SEC’s motion or filing a notice of consent.

Legal analysts suggest that the SEC’s amendment could be an attempt to bolster its case amid criticisms regarding regulatory clarity. The agency has faced ongoing scrutiny from industry participants who argue that its enforcement actions lack transparent guidelines for what constitutes a security in crypto.

Binance has been under regulatory pressure from the SEC, which alleges that the platform operated unregistered securities exchanges and misled investors. The exchange has consistently denied these allegations, asserting its commitment to compliance and cooperation with regulators.

The deadline for Binance and its co-defendants to respond to the SEC’s amended complaint sets the stage for a significant legal confrontation ahead of the US election, where crypto regulation is becoming increasingly important.

The industry’s demand for regulatory clarity continues to grow, with many calling for definitive guidelines rather than enforcement actions as the primary means of regulation.

Tracking Your Job Search Activities

0

Ever feel like your job search is going nowhere fast? You’re not alone.

I’ve talked to countless job seekers who are putting in tons of effort but can’t seem to make progress. The problem? They’re not tracking their activities.

Without a system to monitor what you’re doing, it’s impossible to know what’s working and what’s not. But don’t worry – I’ve got some simple strategies to help you take control of your job search and start seeing real results. Let’s dive in and turn your job hunt from a guessing game into a well-oiled machine!

Tracking job search activities

I remember asking a job seeker how many jobs they had applied for in the past week.

Their response: “A lot.”

Probing further, I asked for a number – even a range.  The person couldn’t estimate how many. (This isn’t unusual.)

How can you fix your job search if you don’t know what’s broken?

Job Search Activities To Track

Your job search requires working on many activities at the same time. After a while, it becomes difficult to keep track of things without a system or tool for tracking.

We all tend to procrastinate and avoid things we don’t like doing. That’s pretty much every task in your job search. But not taking certain actions or procrastinating, can stall your job search. You want to engage in a variety of job search activities, consistently, to shorten your job search.

Here are some of the most important activities you’ll want to keep track of.

  • Jobs you are interested in
  • Jobs you have applied for
  • Resumes you used to apply to different jobs
  • Executive recruiters/3rd party recruiters you have spoken to about jobs
  • People you have reached out to
  • People you plan to reach out to
  • Networking conversations you had
  • Followup conversations with people you’ve networked with
  • Email communication to new people
  • LinkedIn or other social networking communication
  • Social media posts and comments
  • Company research
  • Salary research
  • Industry trends research
  • Skills update/training
  • Professional association/networking events
  • Interview preparation and practice
  • Interviews (screening, first interview and next interviews)

Tools For Tracking Activities

There are lots of ways to track your activities. You can create your own spreadsheet or use a system someone else has created. I don’t like re-inventing wheels, so below are solutions that work well!

Teal Job Tracker This free tool helps keep track of the jobs you are interested in and have applied to plus it helps you schedule followup.

Huntr.co is a free tool that track contacts, notes, dates, tasks, documents, job descriptions, salaries, locations, company data and more.

Orville Pierson wrote The Unwritten Rules of a Highly Effective Job Search.  I’ve found his productivity chart to be super effective at tracking and evaluating job search activities!

Here’s my version of Job Search KPI Tracker

KPI tracker

I’ve heard people complain that tracking this stuff is time-consuming.  At first, yes, but it becomes easier once you get used to it.

Tracking Time

They say searching for a job is a full-time job. There are many parallels between your job search and work. You need structure and goals. But don’t overwork yourself.

  • 25-30 hours a week is a good goal to work towards if you are unemployed.
  • If you are employed and looking, it will be challenging to carve out time, but strive for 3-5 hours a week.

It’s important to carve out time for your well-being. This could be meditation, exercise, or a hobby or activity you enjoy. Make sure you set time aside every day to reenergize and take care of yourself.

Learn how to use time blocking to create a schedule for yourself by reading this Structure Your Week During Job Search

Goal Setting

Use SMART goals to give yourself something to strive for and accomplish. It’s often said that small steps lead to big results.

Your ultimate goal is to secure a new job, but there are many things you can do to help make that happen.

SMART stands for

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Action-based
  • Reasonable
  • Time Sensitive
SMART goals for job search

Start by setting 1 or 2 SMART goals per week and then increase the number of weekly goals. You’ll get better at goal setting the more you use it.

When you treat your job search like a project, with goals, your job search activities will become more productive and you’ll feel like you are making progress. Plus, you can assess your progress based on data rather than a hunch or feeling.

Weekly Assessment

The best way to assess what is working and what isn’t working in your job search, is to look at the results. Ask yourself these questions weekly:

  • Did you meet your weekly goals?
  • What prevented you from reaching your goal?
  • Which job search activity generated results?
  • How much time did you spend on non-productive activities?
  • What are your goals for next week?
  • Is there an issue or problem you need advice on?

Setting and achieving goals, besides landing a job, will help you feel like you are making progress and allow you to assess what is working.

Measuring Is Only A Part Of Your Job Search

To really get the most out of tracking your activities and time, meet regularly with an accountability partner and review it with them. Job seekers who try to do this solo have a very difficult time. They lose motivation when faced with rejection or indifference. Find someone to meet with regularly to discuss your progress and challenges.
